If last night’s Hogmanay party left you feeling more “sluggish sloth” than “lean gazelle,” don’t worry… the cheerful dog walkers and happy families wishing us all a Happy New Year on our run will lift your spirits. So, grab your shoes and take me along for your first run or walk of the year! I’ve got a playlist packed with songs celebrating fresh starts. I’ll also chat about my plans for the year: barefoot micro runs, runs in Scotland and Nordic walking, all get a mention. Even a dash of Rope Flow. So what are your fitness plans for 2026?
The run includes a warm-up walk (1 song), a dynamic stretch section (1 song) and then some jeffing intervals where we jog while we listen to a song and then we walk for a couple of minutes. Once finished, a cool-down walk follows (1 song) and we end the run with some post run stretches (1 song).
